Now, there might be a bit of confusion on which one is the best fit since 8BitDo is offering two different wireless models and a wired model. But the Bluetooth version actually has the capability to connect with 2.4GHz and USB-C in addition to Bluetooth. Think of it as the do-it-all model. A quick flip of a switch on the back can switch it between Bluetooth and 2.4Ghz connection types. And the controller does come with the 2.4GHz dongle. It’ll also cost the most. So what 8BitDo is really doing here is giving consumers options and a way to save money if they don’t need the most possible connectivity options.

The controllers aren’t quite available yet but they will be launching soon. You can however pre-order them starting today if you want a head start. That being said, if you pre-order, don’t expect the controller until later this year. Shipping starts on October 28 which is the official release date. As for pricing, the Bluetooth model will retail for $69.99 and come in either black or white colorways. You can save a few bucks and go for the 2.4GHz model which costs $49.99 and only connects wirelessly through the included dongle. This one can also support wired connections to Android via USB-C. This one comes in black and white as well, but also comes in a pastel pink colorway. That being said, the white version of this controller is currently listed as unavailable. Finally, there’s the wired version of the controller which is $34.99 and comes in black and white.
