Android 14 Beta seems to be coming in April 2023

Google already informed us that the Android 13 QPR1 Beta would arrive in September 2022, and users who are a part of the beta program will receive it on their devices. The company also confirmed that “Android 13 Beta has concluded with the stable public release of Android 13 in August 2022.” Google will likely continue Android 13 QPR betas until June 2023, and they’re also scheduled to continue through March 2023. As per the report, the first beta of Android 14 will start in April 2023 with UPB builds for the Pixel. We expect to see the Android 14 Developer Preview in February. Google is following the same release schedule that it did with Android 13 betas. It’s evident that Google is trying to shorten the Android 13 QPR period. This is because the company wants to avoid running two beta programs simultaneously.

Google made some changes when the enrollment is concerned

The second change is made to the beta program enrollment. Google now says, “devices must be on a non-Developer Preview public stable build to enroll in the beta program.” So if your device is running on a Developer Preview, you need to switch to the current stable release. Then, you can opt for beta programs. However, manually sideloading from Developer Preview to Beta and then joining the Beta Program should still be possible.
