Starting from the front, the Cricket Wireless Innovate E 5G sports a familiar look that we see on pretty much every other budget Android smartphone. We have a flat display with a centered V-shaped notch to accommodate the selfie camera. Bezels around the display are as big as they get today, particularly the chin. A sizeable earpiece grille is tucked between the display panel and the handset’s frame. On the back, this phone sports two cameras aligned vertically within a tiny rectangular bump on the top-left corner. An LED flash unit sits below the two cameras within the same housing. A capacitive fingerprint scanner and the Cricket logo can also be seen on the back panel, which gets some sort of textured finish. Moving to the edges, the latest leak only shows the right side of the Innovate E 5G. The power button and the volume rockers are on this edge. A close inspection of the renders shows that a USB Type-C port, a microphone, a speaker, and a 3.5mm headphone jack reside at the bottom. It’s unclear where the SIM slot finds its home, though.

Cricket Wireless Innovate E 5G price and specifications

Unfortunately, there’s no information available about the specs and price of the Cricket Wireless Innovate E 5G. But the AT&T-owned prepaid wireless service provider last year launched an affordable 5G smartphone called Innovate 5G that is still available from Walmart and Target. The same phone is listed as Dream 5G on the company’s official website. The Innovate 5G smartphone features a 6.8-inch LCD screen of HD+ resolution. It gets a quad camera setup on the back featuring a 48-megapixel primary shooter, 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, 2-megapixel macro camera, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, there’s a 13-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. This phone runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It supports a micro SD card for expandable storage. The handset packs a 4,750mAh battery and comes with wireless charging support. It boots Android 11. The whole package is currently selling for $130 on Walmart and Target. Based on this, the upcoming Innovate E 5G should come even cheaper, or at least the same price. It downgrades to just two cameras, after all. We will let you know when Cricket Wireless announces this phone.
