The third leak in the series comes courtesy of @xleaks7, the source said. In terms of the overall design, the Galaxy S22 Plus retains most of the features from the standard Galaxy S22. However, the Plus variant is expected to feature a significantly larger display. The dummy unit shows a flat screen with symmetrical bezels and rounded sides. There’s a USB C port on the bottom, accompanied by the speaker grill. The source indicates that the rear LED flash will be separated from the triple camera module. Lastly, the right side of the phone accommodates the power and volume keys.
The Galaxy S22 Plus will share some design similarities with the standard Galaxy S22
While the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22 Plus will bear some design similarities, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will follow a different approach. The dummy unit of the Galaxy S22 Ultra leaked out earlier this month, revealing a modified rear camera layout. As was the case in previous years, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will grab most of the attention with its hardware credentials. Leaks suggest that Samsung will bring back the S Pen stylus on this premium flagship, thus making up for not releasing a Galaxy Note flagship in 2021. The trio of Galaxy S22 phones will release sometime in early 2022. While early information hinted at a late-January launch, newer reports suggest the launch may occur in February instead. Samsung will also try to cram in the Galaxy S21 FE launch sometime in January, though the company will likely bring it to the markets without much fanfare. There are a lot of expectations from Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series, particularly in terms of CPU power. The company has managed to generate some excitement for its new Exynos 2200 SoC with AMD’s RDNA2 GPU. Early hints suggest that the new Exynos chipset may have an advantage against the Snapdragon 898. However, it’s too early to tell.
