Netflix now offers HDR on later Pixel phones

Whenever we see the spec sheets for new devices, we’re used to seeing things like HDR10 in the display section. HDR is becoming a standard among the top streaming services, and thus, OEMs are fixing up their phones with HDR displays. If you own a newer Pixel phone, then you’ve probably been waiting for Netflix to offer HDR content for your device. Well, your wait is over, as Netflix finally added support. This goes for people who own a Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, or Pixel 6 Pro. On the Netflix support page, it lists what devices have support for HDR content, and we see the long list of Pixel devices that are compatible. Just recently, we saw that Netflix added support for the newer Pixel phones. Not only that but those phones were also added to the list for HD playback. This is good news for those who want to take advantage of the Pixel 6 Pro’s 1440p display. We can expect the video to look fantastic on the Pixel 5a and Pixel 6, as well. They both sport 1080 OLED displays.

In Other Netflix News: T-Mobile will still offer “Netflix On Us” despite the price increase

Remember the glory days of Netflix when you could get it for about $7.99/month? Unfortunately, the price has been steadily increasing over the years. Now, it’s inflated since the platform started making it big all those years ago. Despite this, T-Mobile is still keeping with its “Netflix On Us” deal. For the past couple of years, T-Mobile has been offering users free access to Netflix (albeit at 480p resolution) when they sign up for one of their plans. Well, even though the price for each of the Netflix plans rose between $1 and $2, T-Mobile will still offer Netflix to its customers.
