The Ulefone Tab R8 5G will be a rugged tablet, and here’s your first look at it
Ulefone says that the device will be “ergonomic” and “easy to hold”. It will include an 8,800mAh battery, and a 5G processor. In other words, the device will support 5G connectivity. This tablet will also include an 8-inch display, which will be flat. A 48-megapixel main camera will sit on the back, and that seems to be the only rear-facing camera included here. Considering this is a rugged tablet, it will be MIL-STD-810G certified. In other words, it will be able to take a hit, to a certain degree. That certification basically means it’s drop, shock, and vibration resistant. The device will also be IP68 and IP69K water and dust resistant. It will also be able to handle extreme temperatures, humidity, and a lot more. There are not many rugged tablets out there, so this sure is interesting.
Two different variants of this tablet will launch
In fact, Ulefone plans to release two different variants of the Ulefone Tab R8 5G. One will be called ‘standard’, while the other will be ‘customized’. The customized version will support additional integration modules, including the walkie-talkie, expansion slot, 1D/2D barcode scanning, endoscope, night vision, and more. As you can see in the provided images, the device will offer a rather interesting look. The bezel below it will be quite thick, but for a reason. This tablet really does look like it can handle anything. Ulefone will likely share more information about it in the coming weeks. We also expect it to launch soon. It’s not every day you see rugged tablets being launched, that’s for sure.
