The device surfaced on Geekbench under the “SM-A136U” model number. It scored 465 points in the single-core benchmark, and 1,106 points in the multi-core test.
The Galaxy A13 is Samsung’s upcoming budget 5G smartphone
This listing also reveals that the device will ship with Android 11 out of the box. It will also include 4GB of RAM, and an octa-core processor. In fact, you’ll notice that the ‘MT6833’ model number of that SoC is mentioned, which points to the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. That is basically all the information that the listing shared. Now, if we had to guess, we’d say that Samsung also plans to announce a 6GB RAM variant of this handset. The design of this phone is still a mystery. It will, however, be a really affordable smartphone, so we’re expecting it will be made out of plastic. It is still unknown if it will include a notch or a display camera hole, though. You can expect several cameras on the back, and one on the front. Samsung will hopefully include a fingerprint scanner here, and if it does, it will sit on the back, or on the side.
Its predecessor launched in November last year
As a reminder, the Galaxy A12 launched back in November last year, while it was released in December. That device included four cameras on the back, and a waterdrop display notch. Its bezels were quite thin, though the bottom bezel was thicker than the rest. It also included a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The Galaxy A13 may actually offer a similar design, we’ll have to wait and see. We’re not sure when exactly is this phone coming, it’ll likely arrive either in October, or November. Samsung may want to wait until November, as that’s when the Galaxy A12 launched.
