‘Gesture’ is a fairly interesting app that can increase your productivity
This app does not replace your navigation gestures, or anything of the sort. What it does is, increases productivity. ‘Gesture’ app allows you to quickly draw shapes on the display to launch specific apps, websites, directly call someone, and so on. There are two ways you can activate this service. If you’re using on-screen buttons, you can pull the home button up in order to launch it. If you’re using navigation gestures, there is a virtual button that can be added on the display, and placed wherever. The moment you activate the service, you’ll be able to draw a gesture with your finger, one you’ve pre-set to do something. For example, you can attach the letter ‘C’ to the Camera app, as I did. I binded the letter ‘P’ to the ‘Play Store’, ‘W’ to enabling/disabling WiFi, and so on.
There are a lot of ways you can take advantage of it, but there’s room for improvement
There are a lot of possibilities. Whichever tasks you do often, you can really quickly this way. It becomes even more useful if you bind it to direct calls, as contacts take longer to find. Do note that you have to draw the shape in one go, as the app will scan it the moment you raise your finger. I was surprised how fast the app recognized my gestures, and did its thing afterwards. This app is not particularly popular at the moment, it has only around 200 reviews. It is an excellent addition, though, and hopefully more people will be able to check it out soon. It really does increase productivity once you get used to it. Now, the app could become a lot more useful if the developer adds more options to it. It would be great if we could launch whichever setting on Android, and perhaps even specific contacts within specific instant messaging apps. I don’t know if the latter is doable, but it would be a cool option to have. One thing is for sure, this app is definitely worth trying out.
