The design of these two smartphones is not exactly a secret. Google revealed it when it shared renders of both devices a while back. Well, now the company is giving you a real-life look at the two devices, prior to their launch. Google is allegedly planning to launch both phones next month. They are expected to arrive on October 19, while the sales will begin on October 28. Do note that those are only rumored dates, for now.
The Google Pixel 6 series is now on display in NYC
If you take a look at the gallery below the article, you’ll be able to check out images of the two devices. These have been captured by Michael Fisher aka Mr. Mobile, as he has been tipped by Android Central of their presence in the store. This is the best look at the two phones we’ve gotten thus far. Google’s renders were detailed, of course, while we’ve also seen glimpses of the two devices in the company’s ad. Still, not a single one of those images compares to detailed, real-life pictures. The Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro will have a lot in common, both in the display, and spec departments. As you can see, Google is using the same design language, basically. The Pixel 6 will have one less camera on the back, and a flat display, unlike the Pixel 6 Pro.
Google opted for a completely new design this time around
Google opted for a brave new design this time around, while it’s ditching the understated design of the Pixel 5, well, at least when it comes to its flagship lineup. The Pixel 5a 5G launched recently, and it offers the same design as the Pixel 4a 5G, basically, which is very similar to the Pixel 5. The Pixel 6 and 6 Pro represent Google’s return to the premium smartphone tier. The two phones will be made out of metal and glass, and will be fueled by the company’s very first mobile SoC, the Google Tensor. Google already started promoting the two phones, as billboards are popping up in New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
