You can level up your weapons by playing missions and completing specific tasks to earn points. Like getting a kill by hiding bodies in vans. Alternatively, you can lure unsuspecting targets to breaker boxes where you can have them electrocuted. In terms of weapon upgrades, you can equip various mods such as muzzles and scopes. Then level those up for better stats. The game even features PvP-based gameplay where you face off against other players to see who can get the highest score. All things considered it so far feels like a great game. First of all, it’s fun. The graphics are decent enough too. And the combination of unique assassin special abilities and varied weaponry makes for an engaging experience. There’s just one problem – the game seems to have a ton of server-based errors at the moment.
The launch of Hitman Sniper: The Shadows seems to be having server issues
While we can’t say if this is widespread or not, we were definitely having server error issues with our initial playthrough. At first, attempts to launch the game were met with a server error that prevented from going beyond the start screen. Once that issue seemed to be resolved, a handful of other error code messages would surface anytime you tap on a button to progress virtually any menu or screen. It’s highly likely that this was related to a high volume of players. All trying to login and play at the same time. Other issues popped up in the form of missing content. For example, tapping on the screens to complete a task for opening the free daily crate would result in a blank menu. Even the shop was empty. The silver lining, perhaps, is that Square Enix may have smoothed things out at this point. Because for what it’s worth, launching the game now seems to be fine. No errors, just pure fun and excitement. Having said that, if you’re experiencing any issues with error codes, there’s a few thigs you may be able to do. You could wait things out and see if the issue fixes itself. You could also contact game support. Otherwise, simply enjoy the game, which you can grab from the Play Store right now for free.
