This procedure will remove only videos that you’ve actually watched, which is another plus. If you haven’t watched the video at all, it will stay on your Watch Later list, as it should, there’s a reason you saved it. That being said, you can do this from both the YouTube website, and the app on your smartphone. We’ll do two separate guides for it, even though the process is pretty much the same.
How to clear YouTube ‘Watch Later’ list on desktop
Let’s focus on the desktop first. Simply open the youtube.com website, and make sure you’re logged in. Then you’ll need to click the hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner, to open the side menu.
Once the side menu opens, you’ll see a lot of options there. Tap the ‘Watch Later’ option, which is somewhere in the middle, depending on the side of your monitor, of course.
Once your ‘Watch Later’ list opens, you’ll see three dots above your username on YouTube. That should be towards the left side, next to the side menu. Once you tap that, a floating menu will open.
In that floating menu, you’ll notice only two options, ‘Add videos’ and ‘Remove watched videos’. Needless to say, simply tap the second option, and all your watched videos will be removed.
How to clear YouTube ‘Watch Later’ list on mobile
The procedure is even simpler on your smartphone. Simply open the YouTube app. Presuming you’re on the ‘Home’ screen once you open it, you’ll need to navigate to the ‘Library’. That option is located in the bottom-right corner.
Once the ‘Library’ menu opens, you’ll need to focus on the top-right corner. You’ll see three dots there, vertical ones, and you’ll need to tap them.
A drop-down menu will open, once you tap those dots, with three options. You’ll need to select the first options there… ‘Remove watched videos’. That’s it.
