An October 21 investor press release by CE Brands Inc says that the Moto Watch 100 is its “newest smartwatch” with an “entry level” price tag, albeit with a “premium feeling.” This wearable will reportedly go into mass production in November 2021. It’s worth noting that this smartwatch was initially scheduled to release in June but was delayed until now (via). We are also treated to illustrations of the Moto Watch 100. One of the images tells us that this wearable won’t feature the iconic Moto 360 crown for scrolling. There could be two flat buttons instead. Although the Moto Watch 100 would likely run Google’s Wear OS, there’s no mention of the OS on any documents. The producer of this Moto wearable, Canadian firm eBuyNow, has previously said that it is one of the few Wear OS licensees out there. Based on reports from earlier this year, we can also say that the smartwatch will be running a Qualcomm chipset underneath.
The Moto Watch 100 will have a 355mAh battery and Bluetooth 5.2
The documentation also reveals that the Moto Watch 100 has a heart rate sensor and is 5ATM certified for water resistance. Moreover, it comes in an aluminum case and has a GPS sensor as well. Color variants will reportedly include Steel Silver and Phantom Black. Lastly, this upcoming smartwatch will have a 355mAh battery accompanied by Bluetooth 5.2. The documentation also shows us the charging connector of the new smartwatch. Further, a product roadmap reveals the Moto Watch 200 and Moto Watch 100S. These wearables will reportedly release in Q1 2022. Interestingly, the design of the Moto Watch 200 looks pretty similar to the Apple Watch. The roadmap also refers to an “M360” smartwatch released in “2020-Q3 2021.” This is likely in reference to the rumored fourth-gen Moto 360. However, the company hasn’t released this wearable yet. The roadmap also reveals a few products by Kodak as part of its deal with eBuyNow. Since the launch is expected by the end of 2021, we will likely encounter a bunch of leaks in the next few weeks.
