Now to celebrate World Emoji Day, some new emoji are coming up for iOS and Android users. According to the latest report by The Verge, Emojipedia has a draft list of emoji that will soon make their way onto your iOS and Android devices. These sample images of Emoji 15.0, Unicode Consortium only come with 31 draft emoji this year. These emoji will be rolled out in 2022 and 2023. However, do note that there are chances that these draft emoji could change till the time of their finalization in September. There is a good chance that all of the draft emoji will make it through. Some of the best emoji that were spotted in the draft was a shaking face and a high-five emoji. The shaking face emoji is a nice expression for shock, or it could become the earthquake emoji because of “its vibration-like attributes,” as noted by The Verge.

Wireless emoji will also be making its way to the emoji arsenal

We are also getting rightwards and leftwards, pushing the stop hand signal. This could be great if you wish to refuse something. When both emoji are combined, you can officially use them as a high-five emoji. Also, the wireless emoji is finally arriving with the new Emoji 15.0. Surprisingly, there is no Wi-Fi emoji available as of now. Till now, everyone has been using the antenna emoji to express anything regarding data or signal. The pink heart emoji is also set to arrive later this year. Some new animal and plant emoji are also making their way to iOS and Android phones. These include moose face, donkey, blackbird, goose, wing, and jellyfish. Emoji of hyacinth, ginger, and pea pods are also on the way. The Flute emoji is also on its way for iOS and Android users. The total number of emoji stands at 31, which is less than the 112 recommended last year. Interestingly, there were 334 emojis recommendations in 2020. So, 31 is far too less. Emojipedia says that “In fact, it is the smallest number of new emojis that Unicode has ever recommended at any one time.” Do note that this list isn’t finalized and there will be multiple changes before the official release in September.
