The OxygenOS 11 update for the OnePlus 7 and 7T series has had too many problems from the very beginning. There have been reports of excessive battery drainage, overheating issues, frequent app crashes, and many other problems. The latest update fixes some of those.
OnePlus finally fixes some OxygenOS 11 bugs on the OnePlus 7 and 7T phones
Next up, the OnePlus 7 phones are getting some improvements to power consumption, which should come as a relief to many users. OnePlus is also promising improved thermal management. Though a few days of usage after installing the new software will only tell if the improvements are notable. Moving on, the File Manager app is getting some bug fixes as well. The app should be more stable following the update. The OnePlus 7 phones are also getting improvements to the Camera app. Shooting on the full screen should no longer result in a blurred camera. Last but not least, OnePlus has optimized the dial-pad UI display effect with the OxygenOS 11.0.2.1 update for the OnePlus series. The security patch has also been updated, but only to June 2021. That’s disappointing from the now-OPPO-sub-brand. Samsung has already started rolling out the August security patch to its devices.
The new update is rolling out incrementally
As always, the latest update for the OnePlus 7 series is now rolling out to users in an incremental manner. A small group of users will receive the new software first. Once it’s confirmed to be free from any major bugs, the company will roll out the update widely.
