The black Nothing Phone (1) just appeared in an official image
Now, this same image popped up yesterday, in the same image as the white model, but with a watermark. This image gives us a better look at the device. The phone is on its own, without a watermark, and it’s a higher-res picture.
The notification LEDs on the back will be able to truly shine on this black model. Those LEDs are white, so the contrast is there. It seems like Nothing will offer only these two color variants. It remains to be seen if the black model will launch at the same time as the white one, or will the black variant launch later on. The Nothing Phone (1) will include uniform bezels, with a hole punch in the top-left corner. The device will feature a frame made out of metal, flat sides, and a see-through glass panel on the back.
The device will become official on July 12
Nothing will announce this handset, its first smartphone, on July 12. The company is bringing back the invite system for this launch, and wishlist signups have been opened recently. A lot of information surfaced on the device already. The Snapdragon 778G+ is expected to fuel the phone, while 8GB and 12GB RAM variants will be available. Several different storage options will also be on offer, according to leaks. A 50-megapixel main camera will be backed by a 16-megapixel ultrawide camera, allegedly. Android 12 will come pre-installed, along with Nothing OS. A 4,500mAh battery was also mentioned, along with 45W wired, 15W wireless, and 5W reverse wireless charging. You will be able to customize the LEDs on the back, while Nothing will also include its Nothing Launcher on the device.
