The OnePlus Ace has flat sides, and rounded corners
It seems like rumors and leaks were spot on when it comes to this phone. It is made out of metal and glass, and has flat sides, with curved corners. Its bezels are quite thin, while a display camera hole is centered. The power / lock button is on the right, while the volume up and down buttons are on the left. Do note that an alert slider is not a part of this design, unfortunately. The phone has three cameras on the back, one of which is considerably larger than the other two. It also has an interesting pattern on the back, with those vertical lines on the left. OnePlus also included an independent graphics chip, which doubles the frame rate. A cooling system with a total heat dissipation area of 35,198.2mm² is also included here, and a VC liquid cooling system which covers the area up to 4,129mm².
A 120Hz display is included here, along with the Dimensity 8100-Max SoC
The OnePlus Ace features a 6.7-inch fullHD+ (2412 x 1080) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a peak brightness of 950 nits. This display is flat, by the way. The MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max fuels the phone, this is a 5nm processor. The device comes in 8GB and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM variants, with 128GB and 512GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage, respectively.
This is the company’s first smartphone with a 150W charging support
Android 12 comes pre-installed, with ColorOS 12.1 (OxygenOS 12 will be included in the global model). A 4,500mAh battery is also included, and the phone supports 150W SuperVOOC wired charging. Wireless charging is not supported here. There are two SIM card slots inside of the phone, and four cameras overall. A 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX766 sensor, f/1.88 aperture) is included on the back. That camera is backed by an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera (119-degree FoV, Sony’s IMX355 sensor, f/2.2 aperture), and a 2-megapixel macro camera (GCO2M1 sensor, f/2.4 aperture). A single 16-megapixel camera (Samsung’s S5K3P9SP sensor, f/2.4 aperture) sits on the front.
It does support Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6
The device has an in-display fingerprint scanner, an optical one. It also comes with stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos support, and a Type-C USB port. Bluetooth 5.2 is supported, and so is Wi-Fi 6. The phone does support 5G SA/NSA as well. The OnePlus Ace measures 163.3 x 75.5 x 8.2mm, and weighs 186 grams. Its pricing starts at CNY2,499 ($287) in China, though it will be a bit more expensive when it comes to India. It comes in Black and Blue color variants.
