OnePlus shared a live image of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 complete with its retail packaging in Arbor Green color (via). As suggested by the company’s teasers in the past, the upcoming TWS pair will look identical to its predecessor, the OnePlus Buds Pro launched last year. The OPPO sub-brand is sticking to the dual-tone, stemmed design that has created an identity of its own. The top half gets a frosted matte design, while the stem sports a glossy finish. Along with this green hue, the buds are also rumored to come in black and silver colors.

The image also shows a cutout on the outside of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, in an identical spot to the original model. It should house the external microphone facilitating active noise cancellation (ANC) on the TWS earbuds. The rest of the design is also largely unchanged, including the silicone tips and the storage case. The latter is a rectangular box with prominent OnePlus branding up top. We can also see “Dynaudio” mentioned on the box, confirming earlier rumors that the new buds are developed in collaboration with the Danish audio brand. Dynaudio worked on the audio side of things, of course.

OnePlus Buds Pro 2 rumored specs

The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 earbuds have been subject to a few leaks in the past, revealing their key specs. OnePlus will reportedly offer 11mm and 6mm dual audio drivers in each earphone. The earbuds will boast adaptive ANC and a total of three microphones. This should help enhance audio during calls, while also allowing you to catch up with your surroundings during a music session. Dynaudio-tuned sound will offer support for spatial audio, enabling an immersive listening experience. There’s no word yet on the battery capacity of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. But we have details about what matters more, the battery life. The new OnePlus earbuds will reportedly last for six hours with ANC and nine hours without ANC on a single charge. Combined with the case, the total playtime goes up to 22 hours with ANC and 38 hours without ANC. It will support wireless charging as well as fast wired charging via a USB Type-C port. Other highlights include Google Fast Pair support, Bluetooth 5.2, and an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. We should get to learn more about these earbuds closer to their launch.
