The company’s limited edition phones usually have some unique design attributes. But the Nord 2 PAC-MAN Edition goes a step further with its “gamified” UI. This refers to the new icons built into OxygenOS that take inspiration from retro video games. The limited-edition phone also includes static and live wallpapers plus unique new animations and camera filters. Expectedly, the device also features PAC-MAN 256 game preinstalled.

The PAC-MAN Edition Nord 2 will also feature a glow-in-the-dark rear panel

“In addition, the OnePlus Nord 2 x PAC-MAN Edition also comes with PAC-MAN 256 pre-installed and a host of challenges baked into the system software that, once completed, unlock an array of exclusive PAC-MAN content. Finally, the OnePlus Nord 2 x PAC-MAN Edition comes with its very own story depicting PAC-MAN’s journey into the OnePlus universe,” Head of Product at OnePlus, Oliver Zhang, told Android Central. The rear panel of this limited edition variant can also glow in the dark, highlighting the PAC-MAN maze in neon. This is due to the “dual film color, material, and finish (CMF)” that brings elements from the game to life. OnePlus will also include hidden easter eggs within the interface of this limited edition smartphone. The company reportedly collaborated with its teams from China, Europe, and India for the new animations, custom icons, and backgrounds. Barring these software and visual changes, the PAC-MAN Edition of the Nord 2 will feature the same hardware as the standard variant. This includes the 6.43-inch Fluid AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, triple rear cameras, and the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G chipset. The pricing, however, is slightly higher compared to the standard edition. It will be available in just one variant, offering 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device will retail for ₹37,999 ($513) in India, £499 in the United Kingdom ($674), and €529 ($612) across Europe.
