Now, the tipster didn’t mention the Nord 3 by name, but did say these are the specs of the “new OnePlus phone”. Based on the specs themselves, this definitely looks like the Nord 3, an immensely powerful mid-ranger. There’s not another OnePlus phone that comes to mind.

The OnePlus Nord 3 will feature a 6.7-inch display by BOE

So, we’re looking at a 6.7-inch fullHD+ (2412 x 1080) display. This display will be provided by BOE, and it will be a flat display with a centered display camera hole. It will likely offer 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate. The MediaTek Dimensity 8100 will fuel the device, while it will pack in 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and offer UFS 3.1 flash storage. We’d expect more than one RAM variant, and that’s still a possibility, despite the fact the tipster mentioned only one option.

150W fast wired charging will be supported

A 4,500mAh battery will be included inside the phone, and the device will support 150W fast wired charging. Do note that a charger will be included in the box. Wireless charging likely won’t be on offer, but we’ll see. OnePlus will also include an in-display fingerprint scanner here, an optical one. If the company’s previous offerings were any indication, that fingerprint scanner will be both fast and accurate. An X-axis haptic motor will be a part of the package too, which will certainly make some people happy. Now, in regards to the cameras, the tipster mentioned four cameras in his tweet, three of which are placed on the back.

The Nord 3 will include four cameras overall, and Android 12

A 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX766 sensor, f/1.88 aperture) will be backed by an 8-megapixel camera, and a 2-megapixel one. We’re really not sure what type of cameras will those two be, but we’re guessing that an 8-megapixel unit will be an ultrawide camera. A 2-megapixel unit may be a macro camera, or a depth camera. On the front, you’ll get a single 16-megapixel camera, the tipster claims. Android 12 will likely come pre-installed on the device, even though the tipster didn’t mention that. If that ends up being the case, OxygenOS 12 will come pre-installed as well. The OnePlus Nord 3 is expected to launch in the coming months. The OnePlus Nord 2 arrived in July last year, so this handset could launch around that time.
