As well as enhanced versions of the Signe floor and table lamps. There’s an upgraded TV-focused lightstrip in the Hue Ambiance Gradient lightstrip. And finally a new ceiling light called Infuse, which is able to change colors and throws a bit of light up onto the ceiling....

One of the new features, only available on Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, is transcriptions of voice messages inside Google’s Messages app. If you use this for texting on either new device, and someone leaves a voice message, the phones will automatically transcribe the voice message so you can read it. This recognition for Samsung’s sustainability efforts comes right on the heels of the EPA presenting it with a Gold Tier Award in March. It is the highest EPA accolade that honors companies for recycling electronic waste (e-waste). The agency had also presented the firm with the Sustained Excellence Award for its innovation in Sustainable Materials Management (SMM). “Sustainability is core to Samsung’s mission and we have an obligation to help stem the effects of climate change and preserve our planet for future generations,” said Mark Newton, Head of Corporate Sustainability for Samsung Electronics America....

According to Samsung, Bixby is now 35 percent faster than before, thanks to on-device voice processing. Bixby now “detects and processes your voice all on-device, without having to go through the server,” said Christina Burton, who was one of the presenters at the event. That’s pretty much it when it comes to Samsung talking about Bixby at the just concluded Galaxy Unpacked event, which largely focused on the new Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and Galaxy Watch 4....

The revelation comes via SamMobile, though the source of this information is currently unclear. Having 1TB of storage on its high-end variant makes sense since Samsung won’t offer a microSD card slot with the new flagship. Notably, storage expansion was also missing on the Galaxy S21 Ultra this year. This won’t be the first time Samsung launches a flagship with 1TB of internal storage. The Korean firm has just published its earnings guidance for Q3 2021 and the numbers are staggering. It is expecting to make a record 73 trillion won (around $61 billion) in consolidated sales during the period between July to September 2021. This is the company’s highest-ever quarterly revenue. Samsung is also expecting an operating profit of around 15.8 trillion won (around $13 billion) this past quarter. The number marks the best quarterly profit for the company since it posted a profit of more than 17....
