He claims that this will be a flagship SoC with the best energy efficiency in the last 6 years of Android. That sure sounds promising. That does mean that we should get better battery life, or that companies can decrease battery sizes a bit, therefore offering us lighter devices....

Giving the company just about six months to not only meet its current sales number but exceed it by another 6.6 million units. It’s a tall order. One that Sony is hoping will be possible with an uptick in sales through the holiday season. A lofty goal to be sure but not necessarily impossible. Sony says the WH-1000XM5 features a slightly modified design (via Yahoo Finance). This is in addition to improved battery life, and better active noise cancellation (ANC) performance. He shared an image of this special edition phone, which clearly doesn’t have a notch, display camera hole, or anything of the sort. The image is shown below. Currently, if you want to play games through the Stadia mobile app, you can either use the integrated touch controls (which also seem to be getting some improvements), or a connected wireless or wired controller. Both of these are great options. However, motion controls would be an intuitive way to play certain games. Obviously, this probably wouldn’t be perfect for every game. We wouldn’t suggest playing DOOM Eternal with motion controls for instance....

According to BBC news, there seems to be a software bug affecting the windows in about 1.1 million cars in the US. Tesla’s cars have automatic windows, and that’s the root of the problem. When the window is closing, and it feels that something is blocking it from going all the way up (like a hand, for instance), it should stop and reverse. However, that’s not happening with the affected cars....

The first location shown in time-lapse is a series of images of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. The images span from 1986 to 2020 and show ice and snow on the mountain receding as time passes. The final image contains snow and ice only at the uppermost reaches of its peak....
So far, Microsoft has rolled out support for 21 countries, out of the 31 that it plans to expand that list to by the end of this year. All 21 countries can be found in the screenshot below. Microsoft’s blog post mentions the usual suspects like the US and the UK, but Canada is not currently listed, nor is Mexico. So the whole of North America doesn’t quite yet have support....

The outage affected a huge variety of sites, from PayPal to Shopify, Vimeo to HBO Max, and even the UK Government website as well as the prestigious New York Times.
