Now, the company’s VP and head of Realme International business group Madhav Sheth have confirmed that the Realme GT 2 series will launch internationally, including India very soon. Sadly, smartphones won’t be launching in the US. For those who have been living under the rock, the Realme GT 2 series, especially the GT 2 Pro, is a proper flagship smartphone that comes bundled with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. As far as other specs are concerned, the device sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery and runs on Android 12 OS. There is a triple camera setup at the back with a 50MP primary lens. Now, according to the latest report by Android Authority, Realme is going to bring this flagship series to international markets. Unfortunately, tech enthusiasts in the US won’t be getting their hands on these devices anytime soon. However, Sheth confirmed that it’s planning to bring IT and AIoT products to the US in 2022. At least this is some good news for people living in the US. Do note that there is no confirmed global launch date revealed by Madhav Sheth, but the global release is indeed on the cards.

Realme also teased several new Android tablets and Windows-powered laptops for 2022

Realme VP Madhav Sheth also confirmed that the company will also be releasing several new Android tablets, along with Windows-powered laptops in 2022. On top of all this, the company also confirmed that Realme will jump the line and will be the first brand to release a laptop powered by Intel’s latest 12th-gen H series chips. Although Realme revealed that it is going to bring tablets in 2022, there is no confirmation whether the flagship-level tablets are going to be launched in 2022 or not. The company did reveal that it will try to target different price points. For your information, Realme Pad has a launch price ranging from $190 to $245. So, Realme has plenty of room to move up ahead in the tablet segment. Realme has quite a lot on their store for this year, as the announcement is just a small part of it. One thing that hasn’t changed is the fact that unlike other brands such as HMD, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi, which offer 3 years of OS updates, Realme will continue to stick with two years of OS updates. Notably, Realme is a part of BBK Electronics, the parent company of brands including OPPO, OnePlus, and Vivo. Realme is the only exception that doesn’t offer 1-year of extended software updates for its devices.
