The Galaxy Watch 5 is made out of metal (aluminum), unlike its ‘Pro’ sibling, which sports a titanium body. The 40mm Galaxy Watch 5 sports a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display, while the 44mm model includes a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display. The two watches have a display resolution of 396 x 396 and 450 x 450, respectively. Both smartwatches come with sapphire glass screen protection, and have a round display. They do have different battery capacities, though. The 40mm model includes a 284mAh battery, while the 44mm model sports a 410mAh battery. You can charge both models wirelessly up to 10W, with the suitable charging dock, of course.

Bluetooth 5.2 comes as part of the package, as does Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4+5GHz). The Galaxy Watch 5 is both 5ATM and iP68 certified, while it also offers MIL-STD-810H certification. The Galaxy Watch 5 is compatible with Android devices with Android 8.0 or above. Do note that they need to have at least 1.5GB of RAM, though. Wear OS powered by Samsung comes pre-installed, version 3.5. On top of it, you’re getting One UI Watch 4.5.
A bunch of sensors are included
The watch includes Samsung’s BioActive Sensor (Optical Heart Rate + Electrical Heart Signal + Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis). On top of that, a Temperature Sensor is also included, along with all the other regular sensors. The 40mm version of the Galaxy Watch 5 comes in Graphite, Pink Gold, and Silver colors. The 44mm version is available in Graphite, Sapphire, and Silver color options. The 40mm Galaxy Watch 5 measures 39.3 x 40.4 x 9.8mm, while it weighs 28.7.
