The report notes that release dates are subject to change, more so when you consider the current situation with semiconductor chips. The tech world is battling a chip shortage on a global scale. But the source of this information is quite confident that the Galaxy S22 is launching in February, so much so that the folks over at SamMobile “wouldn’t bet on a January release” for the new Samsung flagships. The report suggests that that Korean company is keeping the January window for the Galaxy S21 FE.

Galaxy S22 launch delayed, making room for the Galaxy S21 FE

We don’t yet have an exact launch date for the Galaxy S22 series. But a report last week suggested that pre-orders for the phones could begin in the first half of February next year. So Samsung likely isn’t taking the phones much closer to Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022, which is set to take place between February 28th and March 3rd in Barcelona. In the past, the company unveiled new flagship models a week or so before the mega event. Perhaps Samsung would unveil the Galaxy S22 lineup just about a month after the Galaxy S21 FE. The upcoming Fan Edition (FE) phone is said to break cover at CES 2022, finally. The event kicks off on January 5th in Las Vegas and runs through January 8th. There has been a lot of confusion regarding this phone’s launch over the past few months. At one point, it appeared Samsung has canceled it altogether due to the chip shortage issue. But it seemingly exists to date and is on its way out early next year. But considering the ongoing semiconductor issue, we would advise you to take this information with a grain of salt. We would not be sure until Samsung officially announces the launch date. And that applies to both the Galaxy S21 FE and the Galaxy S22 series. We will keep you posted regarding this.
