If you want to use the Skyline Switch emulator, there are some requirements
Trying out Skyline for yourself is not as simple as downloading it from the Google Play Store. There are some things you’ll need to do before using it, so it’s not for the average gamer. First and foremost, you’ll need to have a hacked Nintendo Switch console. If you don’t know how to hack your console, you might want to skip this. If you have one, then move on to the next step and join the company discord. Once you’re in, read the rules in the channel. The Discord is where you’ll be able to download the latest APK file for the emulator. Once you’re in, you’ll need to make a GitHub account so that you can progress forward. Type in the .rl ftx1 chatbot command in the Discord to get the APK file to download. Once you have the account and the APK for the app, you’ll be able to start the app.
But, don’t get too excited
You can get this on your phone, but don’t expect to start playing Kirby And The Forgotten Land or Zelda BoTW just yet. Skyline is still a work in progress. Getting games to work on an unfamiliar hardware and software platform is tricky, and it can sometimes work on a per-game basis. This is the case for the Skyline Switch emulator. The developers have been working on this project one game at a time. So far, they’ve been able to get Sonic Mania and Celeste to work, and they’re currently working on Super Mario Odyssey. We’re not sure just when we’ll see this get a full release to the public. While it would be nice to have a full-on Nintendo Switch emulator, Skyline could have a rocky road ahead of it. We all know how Nintendo is with its properties. Having a Switch emulator that you can download with your phone might ruffle the company’s feathers just a bit.
