Noted tipster Ice Universe earlier today posted a picture of what seemingly shows the display crease on a foldable smartphone on Twitter. “Are you satisfied with such a crease?” they captioned the tweet. We can see the crease is quite shallow and should interfere less with the content displayed on the screen. However, before we proceed, it’s worth noting here that nowhere does the tweet mention the photo represents an upcoming Samsung foldable. So it isn’t entirely clear what we are seeing is a Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Galaxy Z Flip 4 display. But past tweets from Ice Universe suggest it’s the Flip 4. A few days back, the same source had tweeted that “most people will be satisfied” with the display crease on Samsung’s 2022 clamshell foldable. The latest tweet appears to be a follow-up to it. Another indication that this is either the Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Galaxy Z Flip 4 is the number of leaks about the upcoming foldables the source has posted in recent weeks. Nonetheless, it’s safer to take this information with a pinch of salt for now. We expect to hear more about the new Samsung foldables in the build-up to their launch. We will keep you posted accordingly.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 will bring more upgrades
There’s been no dearth of Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 leaks lately. Thanks to the myriad of leaks, a lot has already been revealed about the upcoming foldable duo. Based on the leaked info, Samsung has pretty big upgrades in store this year. The foldable screen will not only exhibit a less prominent crease, but it will be more resistant to scratches as well. The new foldables will also feature more powerful cameras, bigger batteries, faster charging, and improved internals. Samsung should also improve its foldable software so users can get more out of the devices. There also have been rumors of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 getting minor price cuts over their respective predecessors. But those rumors are from a few months ago. Recent price rises due to the global inflation crisis may not allow Samsung to make foldables any cheaper this year. We shall find out soon.
