The official Vivo X90 series camera samples are here, and they look stunning
The sensor in question is the Sony IMX989, the same one that Xiaomi used in the 12S Ultra. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra is the only smartphone that uses that sensor, at the moment. That device, however, did not arrive to global markets, unfortunately. The Vivo X90 series will, even though it will launch in China first, almost certainly. The camera samples that Vivo shared look stunning, to say the least. Now, these probably have not been taken using auto mode, at least most of them were not. We don’t have any such details at the moment. These samples were simply shared, eight of them. All 8 look great, actually. If you take a look at the gallery below the article, you’ll be able to see all of them. Do note that they have been compressed, but you can click here to see the originals. Various different scenes are shown here, ranging from a huge bridge and the landscape around it, to the Great Wall of China, and some astrophotography samples as well.
The astrophotography camera samples look especially interesting
Those astrophotography pictures look especially stunning, even though a tripod was almost certainly used. As a side note, the Vivo X90 series will include ZEISS’ optics, while the company also helps Vivo tune its cameras. Vivo’s flagship smartphones have been delivering great pictures for a while now. The Vivo X70 Pro+ was amazing in that regard, and so was the Vivo X80 Pro. Both of those phones were considered to be amongst the best camera smartphones in the market, especially for pictures. The Vivo X90 series is expected to launch before the end of the year. We’re not sure when exactly, but the phones are coming. These camera samples look really promising, so let’s hope that the Vivo X90 series will deliver.
