Yes, Google has its own VPN service. That should come as no surprise, this company has its foot in about a billion industries. You can gain access to Google’s VPN service if you use the $10/month payment tier. It includes the main functions of a VPN which include masking your internet connection so that bad actors can’t peek into it. However, the Google One VPN does not allow you to binge-watch region-lock content.

Now, Google One VPN is coming to Windows and macOS

You can use the Google One VPN if you are using your phone on a public connection. However, if you wanted to use your computer, then you will be out of luck. That’s a bummer, as a lot of people hook their computers up to public Wi-Fi to work at their favorite coffee shop. Fortunately, according to Engadget, Google is releasing the Google One VPN to Windows and macOS. This will come in the form of applications specifically for those operating systems. The only bummer is that there are some limitations- especially if you are using Windows. Starting off with Mac OS, you will need to have at least Big Sur to get the application. If you are a Windows user, you will need to have at least Windows 10. Those aren’t the only limitations with Windows, however. For starters, the application does not work on 32-bit software. Also, you cannot use it if you are using an ARM-based processor. The Google One VPN is available in 22 countries including the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, and the majority of Europe.
