The Xiaomi MI MIX Fold 2 will offer upgraded displays, and powerful specs overall
This spec info got shared by Digital Chat Station, a Chinese tipster. He reported that the phone’s main display, the foldable one, will support a 120Hz refresh rate. That was not the case on the Mi MIX Fold. The Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold 2 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, it seems. That was to be expected, though. This will be a flagship smartphone in every way, basically, so it needs to have a flagship SoC. The Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold 2 will also offer a different display aspect ratio, it seems. The tipster says that it will be quite similar to the HONOR Magic V. That phone has an outer display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, and an inner one with a 10.3:9 aspect ratio, which splits it into two 21:9 displays, well, almost. You can also expect this smartphone to pack in plenty of RAM, a large battery, and fast charging. We’re not sure about wireless charging, though, so we’ll have to wait and see.
This phone may make it to global markets, unlike its predecessor
What will be interesting to see is whether this phone will make it to global markets. That was not the case with the Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold. That was the company’s first foldable smartphone, so it’s possible Xiaomi was kind of testing it, to see the reaction of consumers. Its successor, on the other hand, may make it to global markets. That phone surely won’t be cheap, though, so get ready to pay up if it arrives. The Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold 2 is expected to arrive in the first quarter of this year. We’re not sure when, but the Mi MIX Fold landed in March last year. So, it’s possible we’ll have to wait until March.
